The more value you deliver to students, the more you can earn.

Tutor performance bonuses

Tutors may unlock additional rewards by:

  • Completing milestone numbers of lessons
  • Maintaining consistently strong student and parent reviews
  • Demonstrating reliability and low cancellation rates
  • Receiving repeat bookings from students
  • Maintaining high lesson attendance and professionalism

Bonus criteria and reward levels will be clearly explained before tutors begin accepting lessons.

We handle the admin

Matching, scheduling, payments and parent communication are all taken care of.

Build your teaching experience

Develop real teaching craft, references and a track record that stands out.

The tutors families trust

We accept only a small share of applicants. Our bar is deliberately high — it's why parents book with confidence, and why joining TutorEd means something.

  • Currently studying at, or recently graduated from, a top UK university
  • Strong A-Level results (typically A/A* in the subjects you want to teach)
  • Sat GCSEs or A-Levels within the last few years
  • Clear, patient communicator who can explain ideas simply
  • Reliable — you turn up on time and prepare for lessons
  • Willing to complete identity, DBS and safeguarding checks

From application to first lesson

Six clear stages. Every one must be completed and approved before your profile goes live.

  1. Step 1

    Application

Complete our online application form with your qualifications, experience and teaching subjects.

  2. Step 2

    Online face-to-face interview

Successful candidates will be invited to a short 10-minute online interview with a member of the TutorEd team.

  3. Step 3

    ID & DBS verification

Verify your identity and upload a valid Enhanced DBS certificate (or obtain one before joining TutorEd).

  4. Step 4

    Go live

Once all stages have been successfully completed and approved, your tutor account is activated. You then complete and publish your profile before students can find or book you.
